Research 1 : Top 10 Mysteries of the Mind

Top 10 Mysteries of the Mind

http://www.livescience.com/11337-top-10-mysteries-mind.html

My Topic:

Laughing is good for human even when it's a false laugh.

What I hope to learn from this source:
I want to know whether laughing is always good without exception, and the exact effects of laughing(how does it affects?, whys is it good?, which organs does laughing affect?)

Notes:
  1. Scientists have found that during a good laugh three parts of the brain light up: A thinking part that helps you get the joke, a movement area that tells your muscles to move, and an emotional region that elicits the "giddy" feeling.
  2. "1" → i have to research more how does a good laugh light up those 3 parts.
  3.  But it remains unknown why one person laughs at your brother's foolish jokes while another chuckles while watching a horror movie.
  4. ▶Still it is unknown that why each person laughs at different situation. I Should think and research about this further.
  5. John Morreall, who is a pioneer of humor research at the College of William and Mary, has found that laughter is a playful response to incongruities — stories that disobey conventional expectations.
  6. Others in the humor field point to laughter as a way of signaling to another person that this action is meant "in fun." One thing is clear: Laughter makes us feel better.

Final Thoughts:
Now I knew 3 functions that a good laugh lights up, and the fact that laughter makes us feel better is true. But I can't entirely agree with this because we often face the situations in which we have to laugh even if we don't want to. I think it won't affect positively to human. So I'll research more about this kind of thing to support my arguments.

Research Proposal

Research Proposal

What is my current topic?
*Explain the topic you want to research. What do you think your final persuasive essay will be about? Add as much detail as you can*

I want to search for information about the effects of laughing.
Laugh does affect a lot to human in multiple ways. My final persuasive essay will be about how does laugh affect to the human mind and Laughing is good for human even when we're pretending to laugh.

What are my guiding questions?
*What questions are you curious about? What do you want to know? What questions do you think your reader will have?*

Does laugh affect positively to human?
If so, why is it good for human? (What are the advantages of laughing?)
How does it affect?
Does laugh always influence positively?
Is reluctant laughing also good?

What are my current thoughts?
*What do you already know about your topic? What are your opinions? What do you want to persuade people of?*

Laughing is good for human.
Through my persuasive writing, i want people to know the real meaning of laughing and have a healthy laugh.

What is the opposition?
*What will your opponents say? What is the common belief that you are arguing against? What counterarguments do you anticipate?*

I admit the fact that laughing has a lot of positive effects, but i think laughing is not always good.
There are circumstances in which we should laugh reluctantly even if we don't want to, and in this case laughing can be stressful.
